We all agree that social media is a must for any business and for your personal brand. But what happens more times than not is that one or two employees get targeted as the social media team and they sit behind a screen banging a drum that very few people hear. Some companies don’t trust their employees on social media, because they either aren’t informed of the benefits, haven’t trained their employees or they don’t have a social media policy in place. But what happens when you train and empower your entire company on social media?
- You promote your brand.
- Your messaging gets farther.
- You get more leads.
- You boost sales and show prospects how engaged you are with your current customers. Especially since by the time leads contact you they are 70% through the sales process.
- Show off your smart, one-of-a-kind, cutting-edge employees.
- Creativity multiplies.
- WE ALL GET ICE CREAM!
#TeamAscendix put their trained twitter skills to use during @BenJerrysTexas #TexasChurned promotion. A few of our team members, none of which are in sales or marketing, saw a recent promotion from Ben and Jerry’s on twitter. Without a marketing rep they came up with #weallsCREamforiCREam. One of the hashtags we constantly target is #CRE for commercial real estate. Pretty clever, right?
Now, let it be known the Marketing Director did try to promote social media interactions one day with bagels…lesson learned…they want ice cream. Way to go @macmcglynn, @mbcruce and @aaron_bannister for taking initiative. The proof is in the ice cream – social media works and pays off! Thanks to @BenJerrysTexas for making this a #FunFriday for @Ascendix! Our vote was Bourbon Pecan Pie. Now go train your team and get them excited and let us know what happens!
