There are so many ways non-profit organizations can benefit from having such a tool for an advanced Salesforce search like Ascendix Search. For example:
Non-profit organizations need to communicate and engage with a lot of people across the country. By performing an advanced Salesforce search, non-profit orgs will find people/businesses by particular cities or zip codes and get granular information about each Contact.
Let’s focus on Salesforce radius search for non-profits.
Ascendix Search allows you to find records within a certain distance or radius from another record (Account, Contact, Company, etc).
To start radius search by Contacts for your non-profit org, you need to take the following steps:
Step 1. Click on Add Search Criteria and choose the Radius field from the list.
Step 2. You have an option to search within a certain number of miles, feet, yards, or not within those. Select within X miles of 50.
Step 3. Because you started your search by Contacts, the results you expect to find are Contacts within 10 miles of the Account. Select the Account. The Account is a Company/Non-Profit Organization. Then start typing and select the ABC Non-Profit Foundation account in a search box.
Step 4. Click on the Search button.
The results will show you all Contacts located within 50 miles from the subject account – the ABC Non-Profit Foundation.
With Ascendix Search non-profit organizations can easily perform Salesforce search by zip codes.
Let’s say you want to search for every Contact within a 50-mile radius of 94945 and capture the data for a campaign or a report. To do that, you click the button “Add search criteria” → choose “Radius” type in the distance → type in necessary zip-code.
As a result, you’ll get a list of Contacts located within 50 miles of the zip-code you’ve selected. You can save all search results, if necessary.
“ Speed is key. We have been using the Ascendix Search for over a year now. The largest benefit to us has been in the ability to quickly locate information via the map, without having to filter after the search. For example, we need to find lease/sale comps for a specific area that may cross over into multiple zip codes. Go to the map, draw the polygon and there are the comps we need. In addition, finding lease expirations for prospecting purposes via the same search process. The less time we have to spend looking for information and the more time we can spend on actionable items exponentially increases productivity! ”
One more case of using Ascendix Search. Let’s say, you have a list of Contacts that is geocoded from a Contact’s address. Then you have a custom object that allows a user to enter either a city or zip, a radius, and a few filters which returns a list of Contacts in that area and some other fields like Total Amount Given, etc. When your development team travels somewhere, they can quickly get a list of applicants/grantees/investors they might want to reach out to and establish more personalized communication.
As you can see, Ascendix Search helps non-profit orgs find the Salesforce data they want and when they want it.

With Ascendix Search app, users can filter their data by applying various criteria in Contact details, including relative date filters like “Next X Days,” “Last X Months,” “on or before X weeks,” and operators like “between,” “in,” “starts with,” “is not blank.”
Users can easily apply filters X days/weeks/months/years where necessary and make saved searches relevant to the current date.
Ascendix Search helps universities get insights into Salesforce data and visualize search results using charts and graphs. What benefits does it bring?
Once you’ve found all the necessary information with Ascendix Search, you can easily save the list for future use (e.g., call list, mass email list).
You can create multiple lists based on your criteria and use them to engage with your students or alumni. Once a contact meets your criteria, they will appear in the list, so you won’t forget about anyone.
Ascendix Search can locate any Salesforce data anywhere in the world. It provides users with different types of searches: from a view of all accounts, clustered by concentrations, to a small neighborhood search for local leads and prospects.
